Zesco United finally held its first full training session in Rabat on Monday night ahead of Wednesday’s evenings 2016 CAF Champions League Group A away cash against Wydad Casablanca.

It was the first time the team trained on natural grass in conformity with conditions of Wednesday’s match at Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat.

Zesco had just 24 hours earlier held a light workout just after arriving Morocco on artificial turf at Stade Ahmed Achhoud in the central business district (CBD) of the capital.

The team held its official practice session at newly crowned Morocco league champions FUS Rabat’s training ground also located in the CBD for an hour on Tuesday.

Training began at 00h00 at the same time as Wednesday’s kickoff against Wydad.

The entire Zesco team trained under a blanket of light rain that was punctuated by a brief spell lightening and thunder.

Tonight,Tuesday Zesco will train at midnight Zambian time from the match venue at Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah as countdown to match day two of the 2016 CAF Champions League in this Group A top two clash begins.

Leaders Zesco and second placed Wydad are tied on 3 points heading into the match to decide leader ahead of round three games on July 18.
