Zesco United complete their three-match tour date of Lusaka this Saturday with a massive league test against ambitious Lusaka Dynamos at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

The Dynamos match comes after a 1-0 win at Red Arrows last Tuesday that saw Zesco redeem themselves in the league following their 4-2 post-match penalty loss to Napsa Stars in the 2017 Barclays Cup semifinals that ended their hopes of defending that title.

Zesco are also eager to get their third league win after beating Real Nakonde following successive defeats at the hands of Green Buffaloes and Lumwana Radiants.

And now Zesco face Dynamos needing nothing but a victory to take back a present to their Ndola fans after a week away from home.

Victory is paramount against Dynamos after the latter dispatched Zesco to their third league loss of the 2017 campaign.

That loss was even more bitter because it was felt at home in a rescheduled Week 12 game on August 10.

And Saturday’s match will pit the lands’ current top two marksmen in Chris Mugalu for Dynamos and Zesco’s Were who have 17 and 12 league goals respectively.

But none were on target in the first leg and so egos and bragging are set to take centre stage in the race for the 2017 Golden Boot in this duel.

Zesco head into the match with two injury doubts namely defenders Daut Musekwa and Shemmy Mayembe but overall Zlatko Krmpotic’s side is in good health.

Meanwhile, Zesco must win this weekend as a potential second place beckons should Zanaco fall away at 7th placed Lumwana Radiants on the same date.

Fourth placed Zesco have 52 points, one behind Dynamos and two adrift of Zanaco while Green Buffaloes lead on 56 points.

Furthermore, Zesco need the three points to take into their Independence Day showdown against Power Dynamos in their Copperbelt derby clash at Levy on October 24.
