Zlatko  Krmpotic  says he will not rush the Burundi duo after  they
impressed  for Zesco United in Sunday’s  2-1 home win over  Napsa
Stars at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Goalkeeper Dieudonne  Ntibahezwa  and midfielder Enock  Sabamukama
both started a against  Napsa  while the latter was substituted late
in  the match.
Ntibahezwa and Sabamukama joined  Zesco in July from Burundi club Le
Messager Ngozi  whom  Zega eliminated in the first round of the 2017
CAF  Confederation Cup.
“It is too early  to say but I have given my thoughts about this
player (Sabamukama)  and he is a good player. We know his qualities but
we have to wait,” Krmpotic  said.
“Even the goalkeeper,  he has have to work hard but they have a big
future  at the club.”
This was  Sabumukama’s second match  after making his debut as a
substitute  in Wednesday’s 1-0  home loss against Nkana.
Ntibahezwa jumped straight into the starting  XI on his debut on
Sunday after taking  the place of captain and first choice Jacob Banda
who was dropped for the match.
“We must give a chance to the other five goalkeepers,” Krmpotic  warned.
“We must have competition in the team and this is very important.”
Meanwhile,Krmpotic said he was delighted to see Zesco bounce back to
the top of the table after Nkana ended their brief stay there last
Wednesday.
“I think this win is very important for us,” Krmpotic said.
“We  were not that lucky in the last game against Nkana. We missed a
penalty and then we had that big mistake  from 45 meters that led to
the goal.
“I am now satisfied  and I am confident that  Zesco  are now ready to
get another three points in the next match.”
Zesco lead  the table on 44 points, one more  than 2nd placed  Green Buffaloes.
The two sides  meet  in  the next match this weekend in Lusaka to
decide  the leader in  Week  25 .
The first leg meeting  in May finished  2-2  in Ndola.
