Patrick Kongolo is set to miss the initial period in the second half of the 2017 season due to injury.
The striker sustained a long-term injury during Zesco’s TOTAL 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group C outing in Egypt on July 1 against Smouha.
“Kongolo is out for two months with a shoulder injury he sustained in our away game against Smouha,” Zesco United spokesperson Katebe Chengo said.
“He had sustained a dislocated shoulder but the other bone also had a crack.”
Kongolo, who joined Zesco this season from demoted Mufulira Blackpool, sustained the injury after coming on late in the 1-1 draw in Alexandria.
