Striker Lazarus Kambole had a dream debut for Chipolopolo at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
He scored the first and created the second in Zambia’s 3-1 Group B opener victory over Uganda in Marrakech.

“It feels great although it was not easy,” Kambole said in a post-match interview in Marrakech.

“Winning the first game of the tournament was our plan and we achieved that, which is a great feeling for us, not only for me, but as Zambians.”

Kambole goal instantly repaid the faith coach Wedson Nyirenda had placed in the striker after handing him a debut call-up for the pre-2018 CHAN tournament camp in December.

The Zesco striker, who scored 10 league goals for the 2017 FAZ Super Division champions, started the match before he was substituted in the 90th minute for Martin Phiri.
