“We worked hard as the technical bench and the players had a good training week that is why we won. Teamwork also helped the boys and am confident that the coordination will improve,” he said.
Lwandamina who recorded his first win at ZUFC said he is happy that the team qualified to the next round and is working at qualifying to group stage.
On Saturday Zesco United beat Clube Ferroviario Da Beira of Mozambique 1-0 (1-0 aggregate) at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the return leg of the second round fixture.
A lone Winston Kalengo goal in the 33rd minute was all Zesco needed to boot out the Mozambiquecans out of the Confederations cup.
Lwandamina says the resumption of the local league this Saturday will help maintain the high fitness levels that the players are enjoying.
