Leaders Zesco United suffered  a dent in the race for  the 2017 title when they lost 2-1 to Lusaka  Dynamos  in a delayed Week 12 fixture at Levy Mwanawasa  Stadium in Ndola.
The defeat was  Zesco’s  third of the campaign and  second at home since losing 1-0 in the Ndola derby to Forest Rangers on July 9 at the same venue.
Zesco stay top despite  the setback still armed with a one point lead  over Napsa  Stars on 38 and 37 points respectively.
Meanwhile, Dynamos had the first chance on goal in the 9th minute when Aubrey Funga furious shot from outside the box was parried by Jacob Banda.
Zesco then had two great chances to take the lead thereafter.
Lazarus Kambole’s 11th minute shot was parried by Monga Ndala  on the near post.
Ndala again kept Dynamos in  the match six minutes later when he denied Maybin Kalango after the latter was put through space by Jesse Were.
The early part of the second half produced very little sparks before lighting up in the last 20 minutes in which  all  three goals arrived.
Davies Kasirye scored his debut Zesco goal when he put the hosts ahead  in  the 72nd minute after heading in Jesse Were’s cross.
But Dynamos hit back in the 81st minute when Eric Kabilo nodded in  Clatous Chama’s  free kick.
Dynamos then denied Zesco  the prospect  of a point when  Fwayo Tembo fired in a stoppage time winner.
Dynamos rise from 5th to 4th on 36 points tied with 3rd placed Power Dynamos and Green Buffaloes who drop to 5th.
