Zesco United midfielder Clatous Chama is expected to issue a statement on Friday afternoon over his move to Egyptian team Ittihad Alexandria when he returns from the Country.

Chama who was given three days off work to travel to meet the Alexandria based club to discuss personal terms is expected to be back on Thursday Morning.

Zesco United Chief executive officer Justin Mumba said the club will not stand in the way of any one who wants to leave at the end of their contracts.

“We are happy that people want to grow in their careers and people out there must know that as a club we do not hold anyone at ransom to stay with us, we are happy that Clatous took this step in his career and we wait to hear from him and his agent when he returns from Egypt tomorrow,” he said.
